Are there any low-unit focussed mods?

After playing dozens of mods and hundreds of hours, i wanted to try something new. I'm looking for a mods that puts you in a rather small world with low units, where the strength of a single unit is worth more. Like you can equip every member yourself and there isn't huge battles to play but small heavy fights man on man which decide future gameplay. Like you play a small band of soldiers or a super strong assassin squad.

I hope there is such a playable mod, im pretty stoned atm so sorry if i wrote a bit unclear.
