I'm playing with some mods that heavily restrict recruitment, so my army is almost entirely bandits and mercenaries. On land, Monchug's army would destroy mine, but this isn't a land battle and he gifted me several amazing prizes. I'm finally getting around to joining a faction and taking part in the campaigns. The first time I joined a castle siege, it went pretty well even if I did get knocked out after successfully getting myself on the ramparts. Last night I took part in a town siege and it lasted maybe two hours. Now I'm engaged in another town siege and I've already waited an hour. Is this normal?
In both town sieges, I got knocked out early, so there's nothing to do but watch my colleagues climb the ladder and get chewed to hamburger by those bad-ass dwarves. It gives me time to do other things (like I want to do other things), but surely sieges should not take more than an hour, no?
Also, I played a mod that, when I was knocked out, I took over a companion or soldier during these long sieges. That was a brilliant idea. Not only making the siege more interesting, but giving me an opportunity to see what it's like to be a different troop class.
