Monchug was feeling generous today.

I'm playing with some mods that heavily restrict recruitment, so my army is almost entirely bandits and mercenaries. On land, Monchug's army would destroy mine, but this isn't a land battle and he gifted me several amazing prizes. Anyone else hate the randomness of the tournaments?

When I'm given a sword and shield I can easily win the tournament, but then if I ever end up with that awful lance (spent 10 mins in the final 1v1 trying to damage with that and I just couldn't) or a bow and arrow up against cavalry then I'm completely screwed. Is there any way to choose what weapons you get in the tournament?
