Why I hate corpse-kicking. An absolute rant.

Preface: I am mad. I am also bad. I have been playing this game since beta and while I can top the scoreboard regularly, I still suck and lack skill overall. I try to fight well but I will never be great. I just sperged out on GK_TDM over this shit and the whole time I knew I was being a bitch. Ruined the fun time I was having.

Corpse-kicking triggers me like nothing else. You already beat me. You already got the better of me. You don't need to kick my corpse like I was personally offending you. We are all trying to fight. We all make silly mistakes. We all ride our horses into walls accidently. We all get 1ko'd like idiots. We all shoot arrows and throw javelins like dirty ranged fuckers. We all fight with strange gear combos or goofy niche weapons.

Do you honestly come on multi player, fight, and kill someone just to prove to them that they suck and deserve to be disrespected? Is that really why you fight? When I kill someone my thoughts about them usually end. I assume that they were fighting, having fun, and died because of some reason or another. Maybe they just aren't trying very hard. Maybe they had a sliver of health left. It doesn't matter, they died and I give them a psychic salute: "Thanks for playing this game with me, cya in a few seconds"

When you corpse kick you are implying that the player should fuck off, leave the server. The only times corpse kicking is deserved is when the player was being intentionally annoying or TKing or doing something disruptive. But that's almost never what happens. Instead, I see people fighting regularly and corpse-kicking for no reason, just because they came out ahead in the chaos. It's basically a shorthand way of typing in the chat "Fuck you, loser" and I interpret it exactly as that. Is telling people Fuck you loser making this game more enjoyable? Is that what you think about the relatively small group of people, who like yourself also enjoy this game? This isn't a AAA title. There are very few people playing and we all share a love of the game.

Trolling players, when they haven't actually done something offensive, should never be about making their time less fun or intentionally pissing them off. You should give value back by saying something funny or lightening the mood.

At least teabagging (in other games) is funny. At least the voice taunts in MB are funny. Corpse-kicking isn't funny. It's pure negativity. Maybe you'll corpse-kick everyone out of the server and then play all by yourself. Wouldn't that be fun?

So, to reiterate fuck yourself if you corpse-kick. You are a cancerous little shit who disrespects players for no reason. There are people of all levels of skill and experience playing. This game is goofy as fuck to maneuver, hit boxes are weird, and swinging weapons can get messy. Every time I see corpse-kicking it makes me fucking rage that you really think you're such hot shit or that the dead player was so despicable that you have to make them know just how low you think of them. Fuck you.

I love this game and appreciate everyone who plays it in good fun and all those who presume innocence and comradery.
