Monchug was feeling generous today.

I'm playing with some mods that heavily restrict recruitment, so my army is almost entirely bandits and mercenaries. On land, Monchug's army would destroy mine, but this isn't a land battle and he gifted me several amazing prizes. TIL that if the player has the highest party skill, the party gets the bonus to the skill even without the companions. For example a surgery of 10 on player will give the party a total of 14 Surgery without any points from companions.

I always thought you need one companion investing in points alongside yourself to get the bonus to skills. This greatly confused me when I imported my high level character to a fresh game and I saw bonuses on the party screen without any companions.
