Playing as a Vassal to England, my lord, Sir Norman Earl of Waterford obtained a village and captured 2 castles while we eliminated the Irish. I lost one to a army of 1800 but still retain one in addition to the one I built from the village. While speaking to the King I noticed the option to go on a Crusade.. One of my objectives in this play through was to bring the holy lands under Christian control. I checked out how the holy wars were going and to my surprise the King of Jerusalem had no fiefs and the faction was down to 1 town and 2 castles. Yep, time to go! I put mostly infantry along with a few archers and 75 English Knights in my army. The English King will watch my fiefs while I am on leave and I hope my girl will not lose her desire for me! As I arrived the Sarens were besieging the last city with a massive 3000 man force but in doing so they left 2 castles with less than 100 troops. I took both while the 2 armies fought over the city which we lost and gave them to the King. Once the fury was over at the city I moved in and took it from 120 troops and gave it to the king. He now has a reasonable size army that can help!! Now for me.. Castle Karak is perfectly located to stage an assault on Jerusalem. 300 vs my 238... what a cool fight! It took about 30 mins to win and at a terrible cost but it was mine and the King agreed! Then came the fun! They were pissed at me to say the least! 3000 Sarins chasing my 110 knights across the desert! They gave up when night came only to besiege my 300 man garrison castle! It took several hours but by baiting them into smaller groups I was able to reduce their numbers to the point that they could not continue the siege. Tonight I prepare for Jerusalem!!! he he
