It always disappointed me when playing as Vaegirs, the Khergit armies would cross the mountains without any resistance, or when travelling in Rhodok lands, warbands would pass through mountain villages and continue on their merry way, or armies would pass each other in the canyon near Dhirim. I enjoy exploiting geography in all kinds of games, it really adds to the immersion. How good would it be if you could hold a choke point and deny passage? Not just for armies, but villagers and caravans? Suddenly, the strategy of war has another dimension. Even playing as a bandit would be more fun. I haven't heard of this being a feature in Bannerlord, and if it hasn't been announced yet I doubt it'll make it into the game, but its fun to think about!
You could carve out a small mountain kingdom and charge a toll, deny enemy supply chains, be entrenched to defend when that warband rolls up the hill.... Not sure what the map looks like but even if this could be modded in it would be amazing. Just a thought.
