Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. Any graphical tips/mods that help the game run smoothly?

Lost my gaming pc years ago. I wanted to get back into Mount and Blade: Bannerlord (2). Of course my crap laptop can run the game but barley around 15-20fps. Realistically I'd love an additional 30fps boost but wont complain if I can at least get to 30. Any mods or graphical tweaks I'm not aware of that could help? Thanks!
