Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. Dear god please help

I just started a kingdom. Yay. But I literally CANNOT CONVINCE ANYONE TO JOIN ME. I’ve been all over the map trying to find one person to even consider it but to no avail.

Do any of you have any tips on getting started? On just building an army and following?

Help would be greatly appreciated
