Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. How to weaken a kingdom?

Somehow I have become king of Battania and have done that Dragon flag mistake. Now I am in constant war with Southern and Western Empire. Nearly woped out Southern Empire but Western is too powerful. If I take a castle from them they will again seige it back . Is there other way to weaken Western Empire? If I raid a village my companions will become 😢. Please tell other way to weaken Western Empire.
