[Bannerlord] How many others are concerned about the social/political/intrigue elements of Bannerlord?
I mean, they've shown us the combat and even demo-ed it in this year's E3 (which I think is great, since feedback will come in mass if needed), but how much do we really know about the roleplaying aspects of the game?
Let's be honest, they've shown us very little other than taverns, streets, and alleys. But what does that say? Nothing. We know there'll be board games so maybe you can play with some lord all while plotting to move up the ladder, so to speak, in your faction, together. But what else? I'm really concerned that they've prioritised combat elements (which isn't bad in itself - quite the opposite in fact) and have neglected everything else outside of it.
I wanna be able to make truly effective political marriages that would end wars during negotiations, or even have my vassal (if I'm a monarch) take a bride of the enemy faction for peace's sake and have the vassal react in varying ways dependent on his personality.I want to undermine my rival in more ways and have my choices possess greater importance and a more direct impact.
I also want an Heir-System, more details on permadeath and what they actually mean, and how ageing will work exactly. (I wanna know what the fuck I'm spending my money on, gotdangit!)
And The influence system is well and all, but they said it acts like currency, and that can really be counter-intuitive for logical and roleplaying reasons. I mean, if you amass a fuckton of influence with the king of the Vlandian faction, you'd probably be able to spend those influence points to have the king of the Battanians do something.
Anyways, I was probably all over the place with this post since I composed it on a bloody whim (a long, festering whim of concern, which makes it not a whim at all, but rather a chronic musing), but regardless, I hope many more share my thoughts and Taleworlds sees this and either reassures us that they haven't neglected the social/political/intrigue elements of the game, or that they will focus on it.
Let me know your thoughts, please. What do you want to be able to do with your ally or against your rival; what sort of interactions do you want to be able to do with your spouse? I made a similar post on Steam, but everything was pretty much ignored in favour of discussing the Heir-System and how it would work, but I implore you all to keep on the subject I focused on mainly.
Edit 1: Clarified more on some things, and finally learned how flairs work in Reddit (I'm new)
