Everybody manages to "win" the game

I mean I play it mainly as Role play, so winning it is not my goal, but I definitely want to be successful. Usually, getting first city is pretty hard, because having less than 200 troops, building siege camp, fending off enemy lords roaming around my siege camp requires big heap of luck. Then expanding the kingdom without clans is hard, even with two or three it gets hard against fully established kingdoms. However, weekly I see many posts about finished game, great strategic win, destroying whole kingdoms singlehandedly.... I am by no means beginner, having 2K+ hours in Warband (partially napoleonic wars as regiment member, but still many hours in Floris, Pendor and so on), 700+ hours in Bannerlord. I use Diplomacy, RBM so it is harder, but still... submitted by /u/Top_Leopard_9528 [link] [comments]

How to improve ingame immersion from Warband to Bannerlord

So I spent a night thinking about some improvements that IMO will improve immersion alot and help us butter ourselves when the game comes out. Of course, Taleworlds are free to do anything they want, but I want them to seriously consider these. I'll be listing them in order from least important to most important.

4: Realistic wives

Why is it that when I worked so hard remembering poems, raiding feifs, and have half the kingdom hate me, only to marry and realize I can't even kiss my waifu? This isin't important but it would be nice to actually interact with my wife past just using her as an ingame keyboard to set up feasts.

*3: Shields actually break and wear down realistically *

In Warband if you were to break a shield, it would simply just fall on the ground, almost as if the strap fell down. Taleworlds could improve this would a simply fix like having the shield break in half or somethign similar. It would be awesome watching the shield wear down, like peices falling off, paint chipping, and then eventually break into a split board.

2: Companions have their own AI and decision making

Companions are not suppose to be normal soldiers. They are close friends that I trust to be able to make their own decisions on whats beneficial for the party. Dor example, if I were to employ Saberia the Battanian archer as a companion, I would expect her to not wait around for orders and actually take up a high spot by herself to snipe enemies.

And lastly,

1: Voice Acting

This I feel is the most important and I don't understand why Taleworlds won't implement this. I know that the player can yell orders now, but I want everyone to talk. It feels weird when I go to a town, and when Im talking to bandits ready to start fights, I can still hear crickets. Not fun at all and takes me out of the immersion.

What do you fellow butterlords think?

Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . For a deep read on the subject see the wiki https://pop3.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Creation Or for a quick "Just...

TaleWorlds Forums

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
