Mod crash fixes?

Constantly having issues with mods crashing and I can’t figure out why. Even mods I’ve played with before. For example ATC(Ardonnays Troop Changer) is require for many many mods, but whenever it’s enabled my game crashes. I just need to know the best method to fix this mod as well as any others that may cause issues.
