What should I do here?

I’m a vasal with the Khuzaits and I feel like the AI is not doing me any favors. We were at war with Sturgia and the Aserai at the same time which was a nightmare because everyone was running north and south. Not at war with Sturgia anymore but as soon as we made peace with them Monchug went and declared war with the western empire. I have 15 fiefs and they all border the western empire. So while every place I own is getting attacked Monchug and all the other assholes have been fighting over Shibal Zumr Castle. One side takes it and back and forth so most of the army is over there. And I’m in the same situation over at Onica castle. I own it but they take it and then I take it back. No one is getting anywhere. I want to go on the offensive and take Zeonica but I just don’t have enough people and I don’t think I can get anymore. Any tips for this stalemate? And where do all their troops keep coming from? They keep coming with 1100 troop armies and I keep destroying them, shouldn’t the...

The hidden reason why dyeworks is so profitable. And the secret to making it even more profitable.

You can increase the profitability of all your dyeworks everywhere in Calradia by:

1. Buying all the velvet at Jelkala until the price is above average, and/or

2. Preventing caravans leaving Jelkala from arriving at their destinations.

The hidden reason dyeworks is so profitable for players is that Jelkala is the only source for velvet in the game (other than the player). It is this lack of supply that makes dyeworks consistently good in so many towns and so many games.

The price of velvet slowly propagates out from Jelkala as caravans trade. If you buy velvet in Jelkala so it is more expensive there than in other towns then caravans will stop carrying out into the rest of Calradia. Prices everywhere will rise while Jelkala's will quickly drop again. These wide swings at Jelkala creates an opportunity for the player to buy low and sell high. Control the price of velvet at Jelkala and your will is what will propagate out.

There is a script that is responsible for the base supply/demand for goods. It does not create goods that the player can interact with. It can be easier to think of it as goods only villagers and caravans can see or interact with. Really it only creates a price change for goods in various locations.

Careful though. Compared to other goods there is almost no demand for velvet. This means that whatever a player does to change the price will have a large impact. Like all goods in the game, supply/demand starts out in near equilibrium. With such low numbers each player dyeworks increases Calradia-wide supply by 10%. While a player can effectively create a monopoly on the velvet trade you can still sink yourself.

Prosperity affects the price of velvet both ways. Velvet found as loot is new supply added to the game and decreases average price regardless of where it came from. Caravans carrying velvet that are destroyed effectively increases demand and the average price regardless of how they were destroyed. Which means that if Jelkala is swarming with bandits or if Rhodoks is at war with everyone then the price of velvet will continuously increase everywhere.

Only in Jelkala does the price of raw silk and dyes influence the cost of velvet. Everywhere else it doesn't matter. Not even in Rivacheg. Yes, cheap silk in Rivacheg helps your dyeworks but what really makes Rivacheg consistently profitable is that it is the furthest point from Jelkala.

BTW If you are curious about velvet production in mods, then you are looking for slot_center_silk_looms which is the hidden production variable for velvet. All trade goods have a similar variable. Velvet is special only because of how few potential interactions it can have.

Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . For a deep read on the subject see the wiki https://pop3.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Creation Or for a quick "Just...

TaleWorlds Forums

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
