I hate Horse Archers

Why did I decide to sign up with the northern empire as a Merc whilst they were fighting the Khuzaits? I've never fought them before and the one time I don't go with a decent horse rider because I want to fight on foot, this happens. Good mods about China?

I've been reading Kingdom recently and it really put me in the mood for a good mod set in East Asia/China. Any good ones out there? A quick google produces -12TH- but it seems like the translation for that is pretty poor, anything else out there?
