I hate Horse Archers

Why did I decide to sign up with the northern empire as a Merc whilst they were fighting the Khuzaits? I've never fought them before and the one time I don't go with a decent horse rider because I want to fight on foot, this happens. Should i finish the Vaegirs off or leave them to suffer a little more?

On my current game they've lost all their fiefs except for Nelag Castle and they only have around 5 lords and King Yaroglek still left in their faction
