{AWOIAF} Issues that make my life harder & mod review :(

All lords beside Upstanding and Good Natured getting pissed whenever I give any fief way. I’m confused as to why Martial lords get upset because I thought in the original Mount & Blade Warband I could give them 3 fiefs and then they would shut up? Sieges usually SUCK!! Don’t get me wrong I know everyone has this issue but I hate how the troop AI troops all love to mosh with each other. Makes easy pickings for any archers and I’ve had cases where my own troops have caused my character to fall to their death 😂 All the factions don’t attack at all after a few hundred days from the Red Wedding event. I turned off diplomacy mode as soon as the event ended to try and counter this but other than House Targaryen invasion and the Stormlands, or the Westerlands occasionally attacking Dorne, there is not much action. Fastest way to get to 900 Renown?

Basically my first "real" playthrough and I'm trying to create my own kingdom for the first time, so I need 900 renown. Currently sitting at 405. ​ Right now I've just been killing any bandits and running around declaring on the minor factions (Hidden hand, Ghilman, Wolfskins etc.) who are independent to get some bigger battles, but it'd still take forever doing this. Should I become a mercenary? Or temporarily swear fealty to a kingdom? Maybe declare on a major faction and snipe their armies that're around <100 in strength? Though not sure that's a very good idea since that'd make a major faction immediately hate me when I eventually create a kingdom. Trade updates have totally ruined the game irrevocably and the system needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

As per title, basically. Game is no longer enjoyable due to changes to trade levelling. On my current playthrough I'm 5/5 in trade and 6 SOC, maxed out caravans, maxed out workshops, and I'm still losing over 6K per day owning three cities and running as many policies to generate money as possible. So I basically have to be at war all the time in order to farm loot to keep my head above water paying for troops, garrisons, and money offers to recruit vassals. It's completely fucked and ruins the game. The only way I can level is by riding around selling grain and other bullshit for profit to level up trade, which is boring as fuck. Nope. It was good while it lasted, but I'm not grinding the map selling crap just to pay for the things I want to do. Edit: I guarantee I have more hours than probably everybody on this sub, and of all iterations, this current one is the only which has made me quit the game. Stuck in a loop trying to talk to the next noble in the first quest.

I talk to a noble and they send me to talk to Rhagaea. I go to where she was last seen, can't find her, talk to another noble, and they say talk to Adram. Go to where Adram was last seen, can't find him either, talk to another noble, and they send me back to talk to Rhagaea. Am I missing something? Or is this just bugged? Are Bannerlord glitches my comp or the game?

I’m running an 11th gen Intel i7-1185G7 @ 3.00 GHz with 16GB of RAM Graphics are Intel Iris Xe with 128mb dedicated and 8181mb available. Would love to have dedicated graphics but it’s a laptop and I’m not able to spend the money on a new system. On the “very low” in-game performance setting I have lots of glitches including invisible characters (just the head floating in space), text boxes that don’t clear, the main menu doesn’t display properly, the campaign map flickers and sections of the map don’t display properly. Zero lag tho. Do not have experience with computers so bear with me if I’m missing something obvious here. I checked the minimum requirements and can see clearly that I have enough Ram (min online is 6GB) but wasn’t sure about the CPU since the i7 can get up to 4.80GHz (min online is 3.6) with “Intel Turbo Boost Technology” or the graphics given that the Iris Xe says it can allocate 8181 + 128 = 8309mb but the game’s performance options is telling me “estimated GPU ...

on the latest beta with all the hotfixes. Tried all the usual fixes, but nothing seems to work. "No Dragon Banner Timeout" mod crash 1.5.7

Eternal Peace?

Established my own kingdom, clan tier 4, 2000 renown, kept my city when i left battannia, they declared war, i declared peace and started to build my kingdom. After a few weeks in-game realised no one was declaring war. Im now a decade along in-game and still nothing, no war for me, no war for anyone, eternal buggy peace. Bit miffed. Does anyone know how to stop my infantry from suiciding on ladders and towers in sieges?

I am trying to snag a castle in khuzait lands without vassalizing, so I need to do it fast and with minimal loses. Seeking advance for first fief and tips on successfully maintaining a city. BANNERLORD. TLDR at the bottom.

I’ll try to make this as simple as possible and give the crucial details. For a good period of time in the beginning of this save for me I’ve served as a mercenary for the empire. Farmed my skills to satisfaction, raised a decent party, recruited my brother Nogund and joined up with the South Empire to wipe out the Western Empire and preventing the tidal wave of Khuzait from sweeping over the the middle of the map. Currently western empire is the only faction we are at war with and only owns about 2 cities so they are well contained at this point and little more than a nuisance. They do want the city back so they keep sending patrols to harass the surrounding villages of Jalmarys. The first and only fief given to me was Jalmarys. I haven’t really touched it other than putting the occasional soldiers in the Garrison (about 130 soldiers right now), prisoners in the dungeon, and selling the loot from battles. Unassigned clan role and perks

Does unselected roles automatically make the player assigned on that role along with the perks for that role? Currently the only role assigned is the Scout role to a companion. So now I'm gaining exp for both roles: Quartermaster (Steward), Medic (Medicine), Engineer (Engineering). I just don't know if the perks for specific role really works for those unselected roles.. King Derthert did me dirty

So I decided that I'm doing pretty well I've got a balanced army and leading a pretty good campaign against the western empire. So it's time for me to use some influence points, make an army, and take a castle. I call three lords to me and start my besieging of Ataconia Castle. I'm hoping they'll get here before enemy forces do, were I so lucky. I'm brandishing 144 troops. Well the first fight I take is a handful of lords and troops that come out to around 350. I'm pretty sure I'll win but I'm expecting some heavy losses. 3 dead 2 injuried hell yeah. I'm flying pretty high when an army of about 250 rolls in 0 losses. Now my reinforcements arrive and we're sitting at 500ish and another enemy army rolls in just before my siege camp is done. Again win with almost no loses. I would like to point out at this point out kingdom has almost double the strength of the western empire and I've captured almost half their lords during this single sieg...

I found out that some select spears in 1.5.6 can counch but so far I can't seem to find any that can spear brace. "app running" Steam error

I tried a search to see if there were posts about this, so hopefully I haven't missed one. Is anyone else getting Steam errors when trying to launch Bannerlord saying that Steam encountered an error updating it "(app running)"? I've had this show up the last 3 times I've launched Bannerlord, and it'd be showing running in Steam library but "Stop" wouldn't do anything and there's no running app showing in Task Manager. Closing and restarting Steam has cleared it each time but it comes back the next time I try to launch the game over the last 3 days. Not sure if Bannerlord is failing to close properly somewhere or if Steam is glitching. Does anyone know of a solution? I’m sure it’s been covered before, but I am immensely lazy and nothing I have googled seems to have worked. Currently playing with the Roman Mod and am several hours into a campaign. Unfortunately my game has decided to wrap and Ctd’s once I have been free roaming for 5 mins? Could this be because the game updated and now the mods are out of date? Estimating dowry costs

Are there good ways to estimate dowry costs for potential spouses? I know their skills in the encyclopedia at least tells you relative values. I started trying to marry my brother off early to pretty much any family that had a daughter just to see what the barter values would be. After repeatedly finding that everything I had was not enough for various nobles, I happened to ask Dethert and he happily married off his second daughter to my brother for about 3500 denar. While we were still just a tier 1 clan. She’s a charming trader with 100 horse riding and absolutely no combat skills at all, which I assume is what kept her dowry low. Another mediocre idea I had

If you are a lord of a castle/town you should be able to call the local nobles to fight for you. They bring the towns militia and themselves as small parties in your army. But, when you call them out you leave your village completely undefended and open for raiding. I don’t think you should be able to call upon City or castle militias because they are too large and would be a bit over powered. Pulling a Roose Bolton?

Currently a lord of Battania and I’m actively undermining Caladog I’m the most powerful lord and using my influence I’ve ensured only friendly clans have any fiefs, I preserve my own troops and those of my clan in wars. While sending the kings supports into the thickest of the fighting. I also managed to get Caladogs son and heir killed, by making him lead the vanguard in a large battle, I’m wondering if theirs any other way to get his second son killed? Rogue, the stealthy (note so much) grind.

Has anyone figured out how to level Rogue quicker? ​ I have held off distributing points or learning all but the most basic skills. Trading in prisoners gets a tinny bit. It takes three trips of 73 prisoners at Rogue 80+ to get a point. Adding bandits to my army does squat, not one point. Caravans don't seem to do anything. Are there any mods that add magic into the mix?

Don't get me wrong, I love the gritty feel of the game as it is, but I love my fantasy shit and would like to see what kinds of battle tactics develop when you have glass cannons on the battlefield. Having mages that can shoot fireballs or slow enemy troops or heal your wounded would be pretty cool to see. Spring of Gold ruined in 1.5.7

Heyho, I just subscribed to Bannerlord Beta and noticed, that 1.5.7 changed to Spring of Gold perk (0.1% interest on your gold). It now is capped at 1000 gold per day. Imo this ruined the perk. To get it (250 in trade) you have to commit your character heavily, almost solely to trading and spend hours on hours travelling between cities. So it is nothing you get by chance, you have to work and grind for it with it as your only goal. Getting only 1000 Gold per day max (you still have to have 1 million gold to get to this max) is not worth the grind. When I started my current trading character, I started him solely because of this trait, knowing that maintaining garrissons and an army later on is insanely expensive and can only be maintained by constant warfare, selling loot and getting favorable peacetreaties. My goal was to get Spring of Gold, grind several millions of gold for some good interest rate (what also takes a very long time and a lot of effort) and then found my own peac...

The new battle command system

I had stop playing bannerlord for a bit. I got back to it again with the new updates, but I'm having trouble figuring out the new system to give my army commands.
