I'm playing with some mods that heavily restrict recruitment, so my army is almost entirely bandits and mercenaries. On land, Monchug's army would destroy mine, but this isn't a land battle and he gifted me several amazing prizes. Are there good ways to estimate dowry costs for potential spouses? I know their skills in the encyclopedia at least tells you relative values.
I started trying to marry my brother off early to pretty much any family that had a daughter just to see what the barter values would be. After repeatedly finding that everything I had was not enough for various nobles, I happened to ask Dethert and he happily married off his second daughter to my brother for about 3500 denar. While we were still just a tier 1 clan. She’s a charming trader with 100 horse riding and absolutely no combat skills at all, which I assume is what kept her dowry low. She’s currently off acquiring livestock for a town in need.
