Recent change to "disable birth and death" option, how can I see which one I chose for my save?

the option is no longer there in the in game campaign menu, as they now no longer allow you to change it mid-game.

I just wanted to make sure I had it enabled.

Is there a config line somewhere I can doublecheck to make sure I didn't accidentally disable it?
