I mean I play it mainly as Role play, so winning it is not my goal, but I definitely want to be successful. Usually, getting first city is pretty hard, because having less than 200 troops, building siege camp, fending off enemy lords roaming around my siege camp requires big heap of luck. Then expanding the kingdom without clans is hard, even with two or three it gets hard against fully established kingdoms. However, weekly I see many posts about finished game, great strategic win, destroying whole kingdoms singlehandedly.... I am by no means beginner, having 2K+ hours in Warband (partially napoleonic wars as regiment member, but still many hours in Floris, Pendor and so on), 700+ hours in Bannerlord. Title says it all. If you have to fight a garrison of troops to raid, open the village to raiding its initial value (like 40%). Then open the timer up for future raiding as time goes on. My guys who number in the hundreds shouldn't take 5 days to get 20 sacks of grain 1 iron ore and butter.....
The more you have the faster it goes. . . I don't care how much you spin it- a party of 50 killers an find every nook and cranny in 4 hours. . .
This whole take 8 days to raid a relatively rich village while the enemy can cross a continent to stop you shit has to go.
