Everybody manages to "win" the game

I mean I play it mainly as Role play, so winning it is not my goal, but I definitely want to be successful. Usually, getting first city is pretty hard, because having less than 200 troops, building siege camp, fending off enemy lords roaming around my siege camp requires big heap of luck. Then expanding the kingdom without clans is hard, even with two or three it gets hard against fully established kingdoms. However, weekly I see many posts about finished game, great strategic win, destroying whole kingdoms singlehandedly.... I am by no means beginner, having 2K+ hours in Warband (partially napoleonic wars as regiment member, but still many hours in Floris, Pendor and so on), 700+ hours in Bannerlord. I use Diplomacy, RBM so it is harder, but still... submitted by /u/Top_Leopard_9528 [link] [comments]

For the love of god! PLEASE let us issue basic charge commands while dead in sieges!

Look we all know sieges are broken and will be broken for a very long time. It's not easy issuing commands during a siege from a first/3rd person view when you have limited sight and can't pause.

This isn't Total War where I can see the entire map from a top down view and pause/slow down time and make careful and accurate troop placemets.

The devs know this and their solution was to "automate" the siege process. You can let the AI do it's thing and just strap along for the ride, but this routine is basically a meat-grinder which requires that you have at least double or triple the size of the local garrison.

You CAN work around this with a smaller force if you decide to take manual control of the troops but this is only viable as long as you, the player, are alive. All it takes is one stray arrow and that's it, the AI takes over again and it doesn't always resume the siege behaviour properly.

All I ask is that I can issue a basic F1+F3 command after death so I don't have to keep retreating every single time the AI refuses to work.

Like it or not sieges are a big (if underwhelming) part of Bannerlord gameplay and sooner or later you are going to take part in one (or more) and given the fact that they are going to continue being broken for a very long time please consider adding this option.

This is a very simple addition that requires no extra time to develop and can make sieges functional until they get properly addressed.

Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . For a deep read on the subject see the wiki https://pop3.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Creation Or for a quick "Just...

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
