And I love every improvement or changement so far. Well I am 1 hour into a new campaign but I liked th new stealth system and just looking at the encyclopedia relations seems a bit more complex. Loved also the new small things such as troops shouting down your orders. So far soon cool BUT There is one thing which really suck for me and that is the new light system. I really can't see shit in battles, unless with a sun shining at midday. Other than that impossible to fight in the shadows at dawn or even afternoon. And I can't tell if the ai is better or I simply suck. Please tell me there is a fix to this because battles are just becoming a frustrating nightmare... submitted by /u/Plopita [link] [comments]
Does anyone actually use throwing weapons in Warband, or any of the mods that keep things similar to native (Pendor, etc)?
Reasons throwing weapons suck:
-
run out of ammo quickly (unable to farm tons of experience every siege)
-
difficult to hit enemy troops during siege attacks
-
even if you kill your own troop to reload, they don’t have much ammo plus you already wasted one shot
-
low range
The only pro I can think of is that they are miss-or-kill.
They work fine for troops, especially as a single slot for infantry. But for your character? It seems like such a drawback.
This doesn’t apply to mods like Viking conquest where there are minimal options for ranged weapons.
