So I paid 15k for some idiot to sail around the map making literal pocket change for me?
This is including the added risk of getting raided by enemy factions and even looters. Why would I chose a crappy caravan over a workshop that stays still, doesnt get raided, and provides constant reliable income?
I made sure that the companion to run it also had some trade skill aswell. Made no difference.
It started all right, making me a fixed 500 denars, then dropped to 380, then to 240, then to 110, and then to basically nothing. So little that the game doesnt even seem to recognize it in the financial report.
It doesnt even make sense either. Why did it cost me 15k for some crap mercenaries to guard it? If these caravans are going to suck anyway, at least let me churn these things out cheaply. Even better, let me actually set up and run these things myself.
I made like 20k just running around Battania buying low and selling high. Not rocket science, and not particularly interesting. Why can't I tell my caravan to do that?
"Go to city X, buy low, go to city Y, sell high"
Why cant I set up commands?
Why is my loony mobile pissing around in Aserai when it could be in my safe, home-turf making 10x more money without the drawbacks of operating a Caravan. Even better, that would effectively balance out the supply and demand problem that some cities have with enough of these caravans in operation.
I played this game a year ago and these caravans were in a better state, they actually made some money. At first, it was too much, over 1k, then it was dropped a more reasonable, sporadic few hundred, now it is nothing. Caravans have downgraded over the year it seems.
This needs fixing.
