Mods with only one Kingdom

I know the whole point of MnB is the chaos and politics of different kingdoms, BUT i was wondering if there are any mods with only one major kingdom or just 2 for a rebellion type playthrough. How do I get my spearmen to actually use their spears to protect my lesbian crossbow units from horses

I'm playing with controller because I find it easier although it makes a bunch of commands seemingly unusable and I'm wondering if there is some command to force the sturgian heavy spearmen to use their spears since it's essentially the only counter to a horse charge but they always use their swords instead and just get trampled and the veteran sword sisters get stabbed in the face.
