Hey folks! Question about War Sails.

I’m still a new player at Mount & Blade. My friend has the PS+ catalogue so I gave Warband a shot and liked it, I’ll be sure to play it on PC! I’m interested in buying War Sails. Progress

So I am a vassal of King Harlus I have 3 fiefs, Ismarla Azgad and Tasdamash my army limit 85 at the time and I am picking fights with lord who Swadia is in war with so I can get renown. My question is how can I increase the army limit more effectively because gaining renown seem a bit slow and time consuming.
