In the previous versions of the game I remember that setting horse archers to "charge" would make them circle the enemy while showering them with arrows, and "engage" will make them retreat from enemy's melee range while shooting as they retreat. In this version it doesn't seem to be working that way? I've sent them to charge and about half of them went melee and the other half was randomly walking around, shooting at the shieldwall's shields. What commands should I be using for Horse Archers? i Usually prefer nexusmods but is it better to use steam workshop because mods and the game version keep getting updates?
if i go a week without playing i need to scroll through nexus and update every mod manually. bit of a pain when i just want to continue my game.
or can i use both? use workshop for butter, harmony and mcm5? and use nexus for others?
