How do I help my clans make money?

So my this is my first run of the game and in my current game state all of the Empire factions have been just about wiped out. The Vlandians are the strongest, with the Khuzaits, Battanians, and Aserai right behind them. The only other weaker faction left is Sturgia, who has been getting eaten bit by bit by vlandia all game. Now, I pay absurd tribute to the four strongest clans so they don’t just crush my borders (most of my fiefs are in the middle of the map, it was the only choice I had). I’ve learned now that my clans couldn’t do anything meaningful because they’ve been in debt. The clan with the most fiefs in my kingdom is nearly 4 million in debt, a number which I can’t even fathom what to do about. I managed to get another clan out of debt, but they’re sinking back in it because I can’t stipend them constantly. Alleys: Why bother?

I've been playing a bit of the 1.1 beta as an aspiring crime lord, but I've noticed that alleys don't really bring in much money, and require constant revisiting to keep them from being taken back by local gangs.

Each week you can maybe get a couple of troops out of them, and some are 'thugs', who seem to have terrible equipment, and that's if you manually ask whoever's running the alley for troops.

Also, you need to find a very specific type of companion to even have anyone to take over the alley in the first place, which is very luck-dependent, as there's no easy way of levelling up a companion's Roguery skill to the amount required.

Adding to all this the fact that it slows down the loss of Crime, and I'm just not quite sure what advantages alleys are supposed to give, other than the novelty of having them

Dickplomacy Reloaded!

Hello everyone! :D I just made a mod, it's called Dickplomacy Reloaded. Basically it adds the functionality that you would find in normal mods, such as Dynamic Troop Trees, Custom Troop Trees, Freelancer, Tournament Play Enhancements, Single Screen Character Creation, and Rubiks World Map into Dickplomacy. ^-^ It also doesn't require WSE, but you still need the older (exe) version of Warband that comes with Dickplomacy. (Though I haven't tested it with the newest version of Warband so it might work.) Also, if you do decide to download it, please ignore (DO NOT USE) the "content options" folder, it is legacy, and the mod is compiled from source with all features.
