Hey folks! Question about War Sails.

I’m still a new player at Mount & Blade. My friend has the PS+ catalogue so I gave Warband a shot and liked it, I’ll be sure to play it on PC! I’m interested in buying War Sails. I am dieing here!

I am in a seige (defending) 1311(enemy) to my 435. Im a pretty decent archer and i can repel the first 'wave' but eventually i just get crushed by their reinforcements. I am awful at using the catapults so i just leave it to my troops. Is this my problem? Does anyone else have any defending seige tips? Any help from a friendly lord would be much appriciated.
