i can't sue for peace while actively dying

im in 2 front war, all my vassals are captured, i have one castle left after vlandia cane with the 2000 men army and took my city , and i cant make peace even i i want to pay tribute. why do players prefer glaives?

Why are glaives more commonly used than menavlions, even though menavlions have better stats and are more widely available?
