Monchug was feeling generous today.

I'm playing with some mods that heavily restrict recruitment, so my army is almost entirely bandits and mercenaries. On land, Monchug's army would destroy mine, but this isn't a land battle and he gifted me several amazing prizes. The only way this could've been better is if Monchug died instead of his companion. submitted by /u/Glorf_Warlock [link] [comments]

Anyone else bothered by Bannerlord's setting?

One thing I like a lot about the original Mount and Blade is its syncretic setting which kind of mixes a lot of different medieval cultures and times, but mostly seems to stick to a vaguely High Medieval time period.

But it sounds like Bannerlord is going to be in a more specifically Dark Age time period. Now this is probably going to be cool, but I'm personally going to miss the knights, factions, and items from the original. The new factions, "Vlandia" for instance, just don't sound as interesting as "Swadia".

I hope I'm wrong and Bannerlord is more expansive than I thought. Think there's a possibility of mods maybe restoring the original or being set in a more High Medieval time period?

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
