If I marry an old widowed hag, will her children become my heirs?

So I've been trying to marry Ira, Rhagaea's daughter, but she will only try to set me up with a 41 year old widow who has 3 children. One is 22, one is 18, and the other is 3. Since I can marry her for free, will I be able to play as one of her children when my character doesnt recover from a javelin to the face one day, or do I have to marry a young lady and get an heir the old fashioned way?
