I just came back to the game after a year hiatus, and I'm thrilled they finally actually added mechanics rather than just doing endless bug and balance patches that somehow break every mod with every patch. I discovered the sneaking tutorial, and then found out that basically every stealth kill or every other stealth kill gives a level of roguery. (5 focus points) now I'm wondering what's the point of alleys anymore. They were never particularly good, but at least there was an argument to be made that they increased roguery. But now that I can just go farm hideout stealth missions, earn way more money, keep my companions in my party, and not gain crime in the process, I'm wondering what purpose alleys serve anymore? This week I got the game and started learning a lot on the go. I’ve played a bit of the campaign but I saw videos about the realm of thrones mod and wanted to try it it ASAP. When I started playing the mod I found that I actually missed serving a lord so I installed serve as a soldier and starting fighting in Tully’s army. The Riverlands for some reason are at constant war with the Lannisters but I’m all for it. Also became a Tully bannerman and Edmund granted me a castle which I instantly lost to Tywin sieging it with 700 men. Although I still have a lot to learn such as how I manage my own castle I’ve never had so much fun in a game as in this one. Just wanted to share my experience and looking for any tips to get better.
