On my current playthrough I'm planning on doing Nord/Khuzait army, consisting of Huscarls, Sky God Choosen and Khan Guards, in a 5:3:2 ratio. No regular Cavalry. Previously I was doing an Empire run, with 2:2:1:1 ratio of Infantry to Archers to Cavalry to Horse Archers. Most of my units were Imperial but I would often recruit troops of other cultures when campaigning in their territories (in Aserai had to replace some of my fallen Cataphracts with Farises and Archers with Master Archers, in Battania replaced dead archers with Fians, Menavliatons with Falxmen and Legionaries with Wildlings), so I ended up with a very multicultural army submitted by /u/doulegun [link] [comments]
As the title suggests, Khuzait hordes are exactly what they sound like, hordes. The 200+ horse archers coming at you don’t have accuracy and is purely just a harmless wall of cav doing donuts around your army. I find that have a 30% - 40% composition of archers kills all horse Archers from the Khuzait. Their inf are way below standard so they’re brushed aside easily.
Yet i still wonder how people can’t deal with what i believe is the easiest enemy in the game.
In comparison i believe Sturg to be the scariest as well as a proper Aserai army
