Ghilman needs rework

In the official description, it says: The Ghilman are a band of mercenaries who recruit from the tribes of southern Calradia and the lands to the east. They are legally their own slaves and masters: each "sells" himself to the order and, in the process, becomes a part-owner. They are known for their fine horses and fine clothes. But no one should assume from their oiled locks, perfumes and peacock feathers that they spend more time preening than training. Their skills as mounted archers are second to none, and as lancers are close behind the Vlandians and the imperial cataphracts.[1] Look closely, "Their skills as mounted archers are second to none, and as lancers are close behind the Vlandians and the imperial cataphracts". But the thing is, ingame, ghilman doesn't have any horsearchers. Moreover, their armour doesn't appear as drippy as it should be. So I've thought of the design of the ghilman troops. They should be tier 6, since they are app...

Raising twenty veterans shouldn't take forty popups

https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/11742

I make Hearth & Herald, a clan management mod, and this update came straight out of my own campaign. The clan got big, and I wanted a proper corps of Thegns (the mod's commission for companions who fight rather than govern). Raising twenty veterans meant a commission screen for every single one (and a skill screen each, with the skill build on), five per review at most, and then scrolling a list of ninety-odd names to find the ten actually riding with me. That's what 1.12.0 fixes.

Promotions per review in Mod Options still defaults to 3, but it goes up to 50 now, and when you raise a batch you can shape them alike: one commission for the whole intake, plus one calling if you've turned on Skill build at promotion (it's off by default). So two decisions at most instead of up to forty. With the skill build on they each still train from their own skill pool, so you don't end up with twenty clones, and if you want to hand-pick someone's skills the one-at-a-time walk is still there. Granting and revoking commissions takes several people at once too, with a quick "riding with you / elsewhere / all" step first when your clan is split up. Each commission tells you how many of your picks will fit under its cap before you commit, which matters more than you'd think when the Marshal track has two seats left and you just selected eight.

The other change is small and I like it more than I should. You could seat four heralds at your clan home and walk in to find the Master Herald standing alone, the rest were just a line on a menu. Now the whole bench stands around your lord's hall with the Master. There's a toggle if you'd rather keep it to the Master.

One download still covers 1.2.8 through 1.4.8, and it's fine to add mid-campaign. Details on the wiki: https://devoidaxis.github.io/hearth-herald-wiki

If you run a clan this size, I'd like to hear how the new screens hold up, especially anything that gets slow or confusing past a few dozen people.

Help with the Subreddit's new Guide! Guide is in the Description and Link in the Comments⬇️

So I got the go-ahead to write a guide for the Mods to post and pin on top of the sub and while my 3000+ hours of Bannerlord and wide experience with speedrunning this quest covers a lot, I am sure that I might have missed some neat tips and tricks. Please also tell if there if something that needs closer clarification with more text or an image. The Bannerlord's Guide to Unite the Empire Written by Octavian_Exumbra So you want to unite the Calradian Empire? Well, my child, this is no simple matter. Many great rulers have attempted to Unite the quarrelling descendants of Calradios the Great under one cause and most have failed, so steel yourself great warrior for today you... I'm just messing with you. It's actually a fairly simple process, so let's just dive right into it. New Campaign: Starting off, we're picking Empire culture. When it comes to skills, you have more liberty, but if we want to do this as effectively as possible then we're mainly focusi...

Detailed Mariner Unit Analysis/Tier List for Campaign

TL;DR Tier List. These are my personal notes and I acknowledge it is just my opinion, just posted to hopefully help others S: Imperial Naute A: Battanian Skipari, Vlandian Nauta, Nord Huscarl, B: Sturgian Reaver, Nord Berserkr, Aserai Bahriyyah, C: Corsair Chief, Nord Skjaldbrestir, Nord Chosen of the Sky-God, Sea Raider Chief D: Various Convoy Guards, Nord Ulfhedinn, F: Nord Youngling Testing is done in actual campaign as well as using custom battles and the Retinue mod to look directly at stats/equipment. General Observations: Shields are required, otherwise you get shredded by ranged attacks. Skills and ship upgrades can boost shield health massively, with some like the Nord Decorated Shield crossing 2,000 hp! I've seen Huscarls with 20+ Javelins in their unbroken shield at the end of a battle. You can assume the high tier shields will not break in battle, meaning a single high damage hit creeping through is the best means of ranged attack rather than quantity. For ra...

Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . For a deep read on the subject see the wiki https://pop3.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Creation Or for a quick "Just...
