The War of Wheat - Calradic Campaign #44

The west has exploded with open warfare between the Vlandian coalition against the Vaegir empire. The Sarranids have remained adamant supporters of the hegemon earning itself gains in Rhodok territory. With Vlandians pushed back, the alliance of Snow and Sand has taken this opportunity to prepare the full annexation of the west.

Dhirim, the jewel of Calradia, has for months been providing the food and supplies necessary for the war effort. However the strain of warfare has led to its limit. The city's leadership declared itself unable to provide the alliances' armies with the necessary supplies. Fortunately the recent summer has provided an irregular amount of rainfall to the Sarranid's eastern regions resulting in a surplus of crops. With the solution to their food crisis apparently solved, Sultan Arthanas ordered the use of Sarranid convicts to transport the much needed food to the front lines.

However, in the North the Khergits had not forgotten their alliance with the Swadians. With his enemies' armies focused on the west, Isaem Khan seized the opportunity ordering his Noyans to lead raiding parties and harass enemy supply lines. But this was just a preliminary step, for the Khan had his eyes set on Bariyye.

The Noyan raiders intercepted the supply trains and began a brutal assault on the camp slaughtering Sarranid and Vaegir nobles alike. A lone Knight of Shem managed to rally the surviving prisoners and secure the supplies forcing the raiders back. When word reached Sultan Arthanas, he mobilized the northern armies to face the Khergit threat. Isaem Khan’s war party rode south ready to break the back of the Sarranids.

In Meta Terms

Welcome to the 44th Calradic Campaign! The first Saturday of September will see the Khergits and Sarranids facing off against each other.

The event will start with a best of seven field battle follow ed by a siege. The faction that wins both the field and siege will also gain new lands. The Sarranids stand to gain Sharwa and Asugan castles and the Khergits Barriye.

The Khergits will be led by u/Isaem and the Sarranids will be led by u/Arthanias. If one is unavailable a marshall will be appointed.

To join the event, just join the server! There are no sign-ups required, and while it is recommended to join voice chat for bants and vague tactics, it isn't required.

Becoming Involved in the Calradic Campaign

The Calradic Campaign team is always looking for new additions, whether it be scene makers, technical wizards, writers, or anything else of use.

Particularly, we are always looking for mapping talent. Don't be constrained by our regular format either, get creative - an unorthodox battle map, a new dueling map, a really innovative use of an underused game mode, anything!

Donating to the Calradic Campaign

The Calradic Campaign server is our own, and we run it ourselves on a donation basis as we have for years. We now have a Patreon that you can put in a monthly or one time amount to contribute. There are multiple reward tiers with more coming, and with a larger pool of money we can expand our community events (like Mod Night!) as well as preparing for the expected high server costs of Bannerlord.
