Are Naute just better Legionary now ? I think they are and Legionaries need a buff

I have been testing quite a bit Naute vs Legionaries as I want to make a Infantry playthrough with Empire only units and I noticed Legionaries are just ass now. Naute even with worse armor just outperform and that even in battles where they are outnumbered and/or fight mixed armies against t5/t4 with archers and cav. Really was surprised by how good the Naute are compared to Legionaries or other infantry from other factions. submitted by /u/KolkanCova [link] [comments]

Recruitment laws in 1257 ad

I have the lance recruitment system activated. My chamberlain gives me the option to change the recruitment laws for nobles and commoners in my fiefs. What exactly are the effects of this? I assume more lances will be ready if I demand it but what’s the downside?
