Tactics to win any battle with aserai as southern empire

Make a elite cataphract force of 50 than charge them to their horse division. Elite cataphracts are superior in all ways. Then, charge the horses on to the pikeman and archers then charge the soldiers and arrows. Dont forget that these has to be mostly legionaries. I hope my tips help. submitted by /u/Visible_Tax7920 [link] [comments]

One thing that Bannerlord offers I've been anxious for...

The ability to kill the fucking lords! I cannot be the only one, when I have fought the same lord, over, and over just for him to come back with another army? This smug bastard all, "Ha! You defeated me once, but not this time!" Only for me to charge like a mad man and in one single swoop kill him before his army could even get in position. But "Nay!" says the game, he was only knocked unconscious when your blade slashed across his throat while going 30 mph on horseback. "He has escaped your grasp in the heat of battle!" the game says, as I finish obliterating his armies. Bannerlord is giving me the opportunity to deal with these pesky Lords, and strike a blow that actually feels permanent, and satisfying! I only hope the game handles the Death of characters in a suitable manner, where killing a lord can either net serious renown, or pins a target on your back. I've been wanting consequences from battle, be it on my end or the enemies. So that de...

Dev Blog 404

Is anyone else having issues trying to view the Bannerlord dev blogs? I’m getting a 404 error when I try to find any dev blog posted before 18/07/19. I can see the ones that are posted on steam, but on taleworlds.com only a fraction of them are available and some are missing the thumbnail art. Is this a site hiccup or am I doing something wrong? Any favorite RP stories from Warband?

I’m looking for some inspiration since I mainly play the game to roleplay stories out. Here’s the list of what I’ve done prior: -A knight who’s chaotic good and successfully leads a rebellion against Swadia. He then becomes a king and the power corrupts him. My character spent the rest of the game roaming around killing farmers, yoinking territory from other factions, and having a collection of vassals he kept in his super prison. -A female bandit that led an army of sword sisters. Nords ended up getting pissed that she was harassing their villagers, so she slaughtered them and kept their land to rule over for the shiggles -A king who had spread the rule of Calradia between himself and 2 vessels. Basically they all took up each corner of the map. My guy had Swadia and Rhodok, Artimenner had Sarranid and the Khergit Land, Nizar had the Vaegir and Nordish lands. If any of you have stories, feel free to leave them. Submitted January 30, 2020 at 05:03PM by TopVice https://ift.tt/2...

Prophecy of Pendor - Mid Game Guide

I wasn't initially sold on Pendor. It was beautiful, the lore was fascinating and it was wonderfully hard to get anything done. But difficulty without true depth in the game play is just grind, after all. Then one day Ravenstern, who I'd just joined as a vassal, went to war with the Sarleon kingdom, and I found myself jumping into the biggest battle I'd yet seen in M&B - over a thousand troops on each side. We were doing well - my keirguard shieldwall was holding, my Rangers were chewing up the enemy footsoldiers, knights and archers alike. And then a bunch of Knights of the Lion came through in a reinforcement wave and annihilated us in about two minutes. We ultimately recovered with our own reinforcements, but believe me I googled those ugly bastards. Who the hell were the Knights of the Lion? They weren't Sarleon Knights, I knew those - tough but they bled like anyone. These Lions were something else, something new. They hit like a ton of bricks and seemed alm...

Is Bannerlord AI as bad as Warband's

For the lucky bastards on the beta captain mode: for proyectiles, not compensating for movements so they shoot behind you for proyectiles, all ai shooting the first enemy instead shooting the mass for proyectiles, being unable to keep firing an enemy inf formation getting closet even when one cavalry cav gets a little closer for proyectiles, not being able to flank you when you are on cover or cover fire for stopping you to "shoot and hide" for melee inf, the ai being completely useless with spears for melee inf, when in formation. Not being able of focusing defending one place so when an enemy alone approaches in the flank the entire formation turns and becomes weak to proyectiles for melee inf, they wont try to encircle you on melee, they just go after you like zombies well armed. Forming a queue perfect for having a high athletics character spamming a 2h for cav, following you like a herd instead of some guys trying to stop your way by flanking so ...

Gekokujo really is amazing.

For those unaware, Gekokujo is a mod that transforms the setting of Mount and Blade to Feudal Japan. The gameplay itself isn't actually changed much. The biggest difference between it and Warband are the lack of shields and crossbows and the addition of guns to the game. While the gameplay isn't changed a lot, IMO that is one of the strongest parts of the mod, as its great just to get a breath of fresh air for Warband with the new japanese Samurai aesthetic, and the music is absolutely fantastic. You shouldn't sleep on the mod, definitely check it out. Submitted January 28, 2020 at 07:49PM by A_Humpier_Rogue https://ift.tt/2uCmgsX

Linux on a Chromebook

Anyone have any luck making M&B run on any of the newer chromebooks? I followed a bunch of guides but could never make it happen. I never expected to play on quality settings but even if I were able to try some mods like Ice and Fire or third age on min settings I'd be super happy. Failing the lending a companion quest (Perisno)

I lent a companion to a lord who defected and I got the mission that I had failed the quest. Lords of Calradia 0.8

0.8 has been released. Fixes some bugs. Makes AI Lords pay the same wages to troops that the player has to. They pay a lot less in native. Prisoner wagon bug fixed. Wages for troops reworked. Less to upgrade more for upkeep. You can now demolish your refuge. Outlaw Knight party that recruits bandit parties across the map. Can directly buy thief gear from village bandit leader to increase subterfuge and make it more plausible to steal from Lords. Thieving is kind of tough right now. blacksmiths up to 10 help you craft items faster. Disgruntled pop is a little easier to manage. Higher levy/ prefecture and good prosperity can really minimize it. Bandits dont spawn as often from disgruntled pop making it more possible to eradicate bandits in certain areas. Made a bunch of other changes that I can't remember. If you haven't tried it, give it a go to make the wait easier:) Submitted January 27, 2020 at 01:28PM by Capisimo11 https://ift.tt/3aOBhbu

My Idea for Mount and Blade II Bannerlord Viking Conquest DLC

DETAILS So the games map is based in January 3rd 868, includes the whole of Scandinavia with some parts of Finland as well as the British Isles with Frisia and Northern France with Brittany. The map of Denmark has Fyn, Lolland and Sjaelland of course as well as occupied territories of Ditmarsken and Holsten (ruled by Denmark in that period) Finland is split up into multiple clans, like Pohjanmaa, Suomi, bits of Savo and a bit of Häme Denmark is called Danmark, Norway is called Norþvegr and Sweden is called Sviþjod. Because we are including the whole of Scandinavia, we have to include some slavic places like Obotritia and Pomerania as well as a few Baltic places like Pruthenia and the edge of Lithuania and Estonia as well as Latvia STARTING MENU You click play, Decide whether you want to start as a King of a Faction or Vassal, Or you just decide to start from the bottom, as a person without any title, choose your starting choices, choose campaign or free play (you start as a pe...

Tips - Perfecting Hardest Difficulty

I've been figuring out max difficulty for a while now, and I've got a few tips that I think are handy for anyone trying to follow that route. Stat Allocation On hardest difficulty, you cannot be a one-man-army. Even with the absolute best armor in the game, a single siege crossbow bolt to the head(at best, two) will instantly take you down, and rout your army. Even if you pump 100% of your points into strength and health, you'll be looking at two headshots at most. That doesn't mean you don't want the best armor in the game, though. Without it, a normal crossbow - or even a cheeky sea raider with a long bow - can take you down with one unlucky shot. So that presents our first requirement: 10 Strength . Without it, you wont be able to equip the best helmets, and as your head is your most important weakness, that's crucial. This means the difference between being oneshot from full health or not, I really can't overstate its importance. You also won...

Keeping the map on your screen?

Hello there, As the most of you will know Mount and Blade Warband allows you to see certain information on your screen when you press backspace. This function also allows you to see the minimap. When you press backspace again, the information goes away. I have seen people still using the minimap after getting rid of the other information. I am wondering if there is a some kind function to keep the minimap on screen when fighting and such! Submitted January 26, 2020 at 09:06AM by CaffeineAndKush99 https://ift.tt/310WL0n

I think I'm the only black guy who plays M&B?

It's rough being black on this game with all the trolls and actual racists. I used to use white skins, just to not draw unnecessary attention or weird eyes to myself, but I eventually embraced it and went black. I get called the n word every now and then when I go beast-mode, but most people think I'm still white and just using the skin for lols like every other person who uses it. I don't tell them that I'm not cuz it's just so weird being the only one in a server filled with racists and shit. It's sad that I can't feel welcome on a game that I grew up on and still play to this day, constantly. Is there any other black person who plays M&B? Any minorities in general? Thanks for reading. I was defeated by the belligerent drunk for the first time today

I pulled out my weapon, realised it wasn't blunt, hesitated, and then tried scrolling through to see if I had a blunt weapon equipped (I didn't). The tavernkeep yelling at me not to shoot when I went to my crossbow kinda threw me off, but I think it was paused while that was open so it didn't affect anything. So the blade it was. I hit him twice, then I hesitated again. Would this kill him? What happens if I kill him? He took advantage of my hesitation and struck me down. Well played, drunk man. Well played indeed. Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . For a deep read on the subject see the wiki https://pop3.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Creation Or for a quick "Just...

Bashing your own shield?

Hello there, While playing this dlc I see members of my party bash their weapons against their shields. I really like this little feature, and was wondering if there is a way of doing it yourself. For clearance: I don't mean bashing your enemies with your shield, which you can do in the game. I mean bashing your own weapon against your own shield like some of the AI do! I think the AI might be stringing me along...

I can't get lady Isollo of suno to marry me. She keep saying that she doesn't have enough vassals and has to pretend that she might bang people to make them loyal to her so she can't get married to me. So I naturally start asking lords to defect to swadia and I start conquering so she has land to give out. But she keep indicting her vassals for treason faster than I can get them to join! At this point I think she's doing it just to screw with me. Submitted January 23, 2020 at 10:48AM by fancyskank https://ift.tt/30MUTIx

PSA TIL The tavern in Curaw has an upper floor

All these years playing I just assumed the tavern in Curaw was just weirdly tiny and that there was only a storage closet in the back. You can see items and shit in there, clearly looks like a pantry. Lo and behold, for some unknown reason I finally decided to check it out and found the narrowest staircase in all of Calradia leading to rooms on the upper floor! I knew Uxhal unusually had three floors, but this!? My second playthough, when I swore blind that Jeremus did not spawn into my game because I couldn't find him ANYWHERE suddenly makes sense. I distinctly remember travelling to Dhirim because it's central, making a new save game and then travelling to every single town and quit/reloading after each area before trying the next so time didn't pass and reset the spawn positions. No Jeremus. Dude must have been shacked up in Curaw's fuckin secret safe house. Submitted January 23, 2020 at 06:02AM by mmciv https://ift.tt/36l5go6

Sultan Hakim wont stop giving me castles and cities and fiefs.

I ended up swearing and oath to Sultin Hakim when the Sarranids were at a low point. So many lords had defected, and the sultanate was reduced to one city and and a few castles. I was soon made Marshal, and as a loyal servant to the Sultan I started reclaiming land. First city and a few castles I asked to be given to me, they were close to each other and in the sarranid homeland and a good power base for myself. Started taking more cities and castles even launching an invasion into Khergit territory. I have been asking no rewards, because quite frankly, we need more lords in the sultanate, that I as marshal can marshal . But the Sultan keeps trying to give them to me anyway, i refuse them, hoping that he will find a new lord to grant them to, but no luck, he is insisting that I should take them. There are other emirs in the realm, i am not sure why he is not granting it to them so they can at leas the responsible for the defense of the cities. Frankly it is getting tiring be responsib...

Am I the only one?

I've been playing Mount & Blade: Warband for years now (not since release, but possibly same year?) and I've gotten to a point where the base game, no matter how great it is, bore me. Which bring me to mods. I love PoP and TLD. I've played many other's over the years, but I always go back to those two. When I've dreamed of Bannerlord being released, I've been think of how great the modding community is going to be. I'm almost more excited to see what comes from the genius minds of the modders than actual playing the base Bannerlord. I know that Taleworlds had a devblog saying they're going to make it so modding is extremely accessible. So, my question, am I the only one? If not, what mods are you most excited to see updated or created? P.S. i would like to say, I died many a times to the bandit at the beginning before I learned how to fight in M&B so you will never see me in Multiplayer. I've seen enough naked people jumping around with a...

How can I play ancient versions of Mount and Blade?

Hello, sorry in advance for my inaptitude with computers! I would like to try early versions of the original Mount and Blade game (not warband), and I'm not sure how to proceed with it. I have Warband, and I'm not sure if I would need the original M&B as well if I wanted to download and play earlier versions of it (I think one of them was called Warrider?) Also, if these versions are available, do I need to install them as a mod for warband, a mod for M&B, or a standalone game? Thank you! Odd AI behavior in Pendor

I'm currently attempting a female (player) D'shar only campaign and I've encountered a problem. I am just about to enter the late-game and upon selecting the option to leave my current faction along with my husband, my husband loses his castle. This is my first campaign playing as a woman so this may be completely normal, but I would still like to know if this is set in stone. If you die in VR battle do you go to Valhalla?

In all seriousness, today I was playing TDM on the bannerlord beta server and was getting really into it. Like way too much, to the point where I noticed my blood pressure being quite high and uncomfortable. It made me curious, thinking about how immersive this game already is... how out of control would it be in VR? And then I wondered.... what if I actually suffered a heart attack and died while in glorious battle, but in VR? Would I still go to valhalla? Having no one to fight other than Ragnar actually made the game HARDER.

I can’t believe it, I’ve been in this game for (game-time) 3 years. I helped the nords conquer every single faction and cover the map, and waited until every castle and city was rewarded to me or the king because he literally banned all the lords except me until they all left calradia. However, this was technically my plan once I realized was happening so I saved up to the point where I’m now a multimillionaire, and at the time I had around 5000-6000 troops garrisoned across my towns and castles. In my plan, I took out all of them and released all of them except for a large company of swadian knights. I then proceeded to capture the towns and castles that were empty and filling them with troops I trained fighting bandits and looters, after quitting the kingdom of nords and starting my own, giving my followers the castles to build my army separately. However I have run into a massive problem, and that is the fact that I have no way to train my elite troops, as there are no lords to kic...

This game is... draining me. (Rant)

I wanted to do an Ironman run of native Mount and Blade Warband as a sort of goodbye to this awesome game before Bannerlord. But... it seems like with every step I take forward, I take two steps back, and it’s killing me. All the flaws in this game are culminating into a splinter of frustration that keeps bothering me. Ok, let me review. I recently fought and was captured by enemy forces. After eventually getting loose, I tried to go village-to-village, recruiting. That’s when I hit a huge problem. Bandits. Not just are there like fucking 80 of them on screen at all times (seriously, Calradia has Skyrim’s bandit-to-villager ratio), and they are ALL SO FUCKING FAST. Even if I can outspeed the bigger groups, the smaller ones catch up to me, and apparently these DISORGANIZED BANDS OF LOOTERS are all on the same side (this is not how crime works in real life!). Oh, “run away”, you might say? Well, there’s a different problem. Fucking morale. Every time you run away, all your troops dev...

Hello my friends, i wanna take some of my vacation for Bannerlord. Is the game gonna be released on exactly the first of march? And is it even worth to take vacation for the early access version? Pissed off, tempted to revolt.

Honestly, I’m really starting to get impatient. I’m with the Kingdom of Vaegirs. I had recently taken Sargoth back from the Nords (granted it had a garrison of 55 troops, but still), and I was finally granted a city. Then, but a few days later, Sargoth was besieged. I didn’t have that many troops there, but even if I did, what can you even do against a force of 300 Nord troops, probably more!? And OF COURSE the asshole King doesn’t even send anyone to help defend the town. The Vaegirs are at war with the Nords & Rhodoks, and the Sarranids have just declared war. They recently got peace with the Khergits, but I bet they’ll be eager to reclaim their lost territory. The notes says that they’re losing the war, although they still have around 5 cities or so. I have two villages & a castle with around 230 mid and high-tier troops. I have decent relations with many lords, due to helping them and just having high honor. I can try to convince one lord, Boyar Ralcha, to help me rebel,...

Why everyone says multiplayer is shite?

I have 4k hours in warband and 3k+ is multi for sure. The amount of hours people have on this game is mostly out of mp. The ai doesn't know how to use combat mechanics and that's the core of MnB. People on this community dismiss mp as niche but the mp is what it makes the community feel alive. If they dumbed dumb down the combat system is gonna be terrible for the community overall as the multiplayer will die Submitted January 19, 2020 at 09:29AM by Carlosdelsol https://ift.tt/361qasg
