I have an battanian army with 25 (empire) archers, 25 cavalry and about 65 infantry. I have fought about 8 to 9 sturgian lords, which were successful but I feel like I can't properly use my cavalry. So I wanted to ask for a better tactic.
Sturgian armies are usually 5-10% archers, 0-5% cavalry and rest is a giant pile of infantry with big shields. They always wait for me to do the first move, their infantry is waiting just behind archers and cavalry is the first defence on incoming enemies.
My own strategy is luring and killing the cavalry myself > and then moving my own cavalry behind the enemy lines > sending archers and infantry to charge > when both infantries are about to clash, I send the cavalry but they dont have a good effect, probably because my infantry is in their way.
