Haven't followed any news on this game in over a year, just saw its on sale. Worth buying Bannerlord?

I played the shit out of Warband for years, and I completely forgot I had Bannerlord on my wishlist on Steam until today. Anything interesting they've added or fixed in the last year? How is the state of the game today, and how is it compared to vanilla Warband? Cheers
