[POP] Why is Sarleon territory so unsuited to cavalry?

This is my first time actually joining Sarleon and my first time using an army that fields a lot of heavy cavalry, and I've never noticed before how much it sucks to use a heavy cavalry focused army in Sarleon territory. Almost every battlefield I get is hilly or outright mountainous, in addition to being littered with trees. It seems that every other factions map is designed so that they have a sort of "home field advantage"(for example, Ravenstern's mountain heavy land is good for their archers, and the D'Shar's wide open fields facilitate their horse archers), except for Sarleon's. Why does the faction that specializes in heavy cavalry occupy a territory that is terrible for using heavy cavalry?
