Everybody manages to "win" the game

I mean I play it mainly as Role play, so winning it is not my goal, but I definitely want to be successful. Usually, getting first city is pretty hard, because having less than 200 troops, building siege camp, fending off enemy lords roaming around my siege camp requires big heap of luck. Then expanding the kingdom without clans is hard, even with two or three it gets hard against fully established kingdoms. However, weekly I see many posts about finished game, great strategic win, destroying whole kingdoms singlehandedly.... I am by no means beginner, having 2K+ hours in Warband (partially napoleonic wars as regiment member, but still many hours in Floris, Pendor and so on), 700+ hours in Bannerlord. I use Diplomacy, RBM so it is harder, but still... submitted by /u/Top_Leopard_9528 [link] [comments]

[Rant] Successful raids shouldn't be taken into account as much when deciding who gets to pay tribute, or how much is paid

I should preface this by saying I'm on 1.6.5 beta, so IDK if this is the result of that or not.

I'm doing a South empire playthrough right now, and we're locked in a constant battle with the Western empire. We've taken every town except Lageta, Ortysia and Rhotae. The Vlandians took all their westernmost castles, and the Battanians took Veron castle as they always do

They're down to only 2000 manpower as opposed to my 9000, but because they've recruited so many mercenaries (more mercenary parties than actual lords), villages get constantly raided (30 times in the last war alone, which lasted around 2 weeks, compared to the 3 south empire did), but not villages in general, there's only 4 villages they constantly attack

Because of their overwhelmingly large raids thanks to the Lake rats, Forest people, Wolfskins, Brootherhood of the Woods, and the Golden Boars, we can't end the conflict without paying them 3000 gold daily at least, despite only having two castles, 3 towns and 4 remaining royal families. It's so fucking stupid that anyone can ask for money despite being in the obviously worse position just because they rob 3 of the same villages over and over again

Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . For a deep read on the subject see the wiki https://pop3.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Creation Or for a quick "Just...

TaleWorlds Forums

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
