Mods with only one Kingdom

I know the whole point of MnB is the chaos and politics of different kingdoms, BUT i was wondering if there are any mods with only one major kingdom or just 2 for a rebellion type playthrough. Are there any Sci-Fi Open RPGs like M&B?

I've been really getting into the expanse recently but the Sci Fi mods for M&B don't cut the mustard. I'm looking for a Sci-Fi game like M&B that is open ended in the same way but lets you fight battles, command ships and the like. The closest I've seen is the Star Wars mod for M&B, but is there anything quite like what I'm describing?

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
