And I love every improvement or changement so far. Well I am 1 hour into a new campaign but I liked th new stealth system and just looking at the encyclopedia relations seems a bit more complex. Loved also the new small things such as troops shouting down your orders. So far soon cool BUT There is one thing which really suck for me and that is the new light system. I really can't see shit in battles, unless with a sun shining at midday. Other than that impossible to fight in the shadows at dawn or even afternoon. And I can't tell if the ai is better or I simply suck. Please tell me there is a fix to this because battles are just becoming a frustrating nightmare... submitted by /u/Plopita [link] [comments]
Could also deepen the mercy/honour mechanics too as you could be slain on the spot rather than just be knocked out and deliberated after the fact. Depending on the outcome, it could give buffs and debuffs to the respective armies as word gets out their general is dead or was carried away before he could be killed etc and really effect morale and possibly weapon damage/armour?
It being a battle in single combat rather than an execution would also make it so you don't get the devastating penalty you do for prisoner executions. Would make for an extra tactic should you be ambushed by a larger force and needed to even the playing field a little to survive yourself.
