STUCK AT BEGINING OF WARSAILS

I escorted the merchants and fought off two ships in a sea battle . I'm on the Scourge of the Seas quest. It tells me to talk to Gunnar via a golden exclamation point. I go to talk to him and he says thst he is waiting on new." What do I do now? It seems as though there are no obvious prompts and the quest still exists. I need help specifically with advancing this quest...I can't believe I am stuck this early in the game. If anyone has any advice, I'm really desperate. Warband: Tips on playing as a bandit/bad guy?

I just got into M&B after like 10 years and im nearing the end of a playthrough as a good guy, loyal to the king, no pillaging, high honor.

Im thinking next i want to be an absolute menace, have the shittiest companions, burn down villages, betray factions.

Any tips on how i should chose stats, should i build a big army or focus on personal stats? What should my end goal be?

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
