Everybody manages to "win" the game

I mean I play it mainly as Role play, so winning it is not my goal, but I definitely want to be successful. Usually, getting first city is pretty hard, because having less than 200 troops, building siege camp, fending off enemy lords roaming around my siege camp requires big heap of luck. Then expanding the kingdom without clans is hard, even with two or three it gets hard against fully established kingdoms. However, weekly I see many posts about finished game, great strategic win, destroying whole kingdoms singlehandedly.... I am by no means beginner, having 2K+ hours in Warband (partially napoleonic wars as regiment member, but still many hours in Floris, Pendor and so on), 700+ hours in Bannerlord. I use Diplomacy, RBM so it is harder, but still... submitted by /u/Top_Leopard_9528 [link] [comments]

Just bought warband on ps4. How exactly am I meant to get anywhere in this game?

I thought I was doing really well. Had over 40 units in my party nearly all of them upgraded. Won three tournaments and used the funds to get better armor as well as some more mercs. Started making progress getting one of the lords to like me and then...nothing. Suddenly no lords want to give me a quest. All I got from guild masters were the "hunt bandits" quests which take forever.

So feeling lost about what to do I just start systematically going to every lord and seeing if they'd give me a quest. Finally one gives me a quest to provoke a war by looting a village or attacking a caravan. After a couple in game weeks looking for a caravan I decided to attack a village...and everything went to shit. A huge party caught us on our way out. Everybody was slaughtered and I was captured. Back to square one.

Honestly I was fine at this point. Id made a bad decision and paid for it. So I use the last of my funds to slowly build my party back up and get to about 40 again. Thinking I'm being smarter I decide I'll just keep doing quests in my region until I get confident enough to go raiding or anything again. The problem though is no lords are giving quests again... So after rinning around the whole kingdom trying to get a quest and failing the one I did manage to get (cattle herding) I run completely out of money and go into debt. I decide to try my luck again and raid but once again get caught and lose everything.

This game is so oddly addictive and its so clear to me that Im just scratching the surface, but being put into a losing situation because the game suddenly shuts down and won't give me a quest is frustrating to the point I want to give up.

I googled for solutions and basically found a lot of forum posts where people say "if you don't have quests raid villages to get cash and renown" which obviously is not a winning strat for me.

Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . For a deep read on the subject see the wiki https://pop3.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Creation Or for a quick "Just...

TaleWorlds Forums

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
