Monchug was feeling generous today.

I'm playing with some mods that heavily restrict recruitment, so my army is almost entirely bandits and mercenaries. On land, Monchug's army would destroy mine, but this isn't a land battle and he gifted me several amazing prizes. A question on sieges

Has anyone ever taken a castle or town by waiting for the food to run out? I have 1000+ hours in the game and I have never even thought about waiting 30 days to do it, can anyone give any insight to when it is useful?
