i can't sue for peace while actively dying

im in 2 front war, all my vassals are captured, i have one castle left after vlandia cane with the 2000 men army and took my city , and i cant make peace even i i want to pay tribute. Is horse archery rewarding? If you ever build it did you go to 5 or 7-8? Is it worth spending points?

If I spend 5 points would it be easier for me to use bow mounted and how much? I am thinking about run where me and all my companions use bows.
