What’s up with the admins on the EA(East Asia) server ?

Apparently players are getting perma banned from multiplayer for saying things against the Chinese government or having a winne the Pooh avatar on EA servers. Is this true? Someone got banned for 10 years! I’m not sure if any of this is true, does anyone know what’s going on?
