i can't sue for peace while actively dying

im in 2 front war, all my vassals are captured, i have one castle left after vlandia cane with the 2000 men army and took my city , and i cant make peace even i i want to pay tribute. Any way to put a companion/clan member in a town?

Basically the title. Accidentally took a family member into my party that was previously waiting in the keep of a settlement and I can't seem to be able to put them back. Can't seem to find an answer on this subreddit or google either, so maybe that feature just isn't there?
