STUCK AT BEGINING OF WARSAILS

I escorted the merchants and fought off two ships in a sea battle . I'm on the Scourge of the Seas quest. It tells me to talk to Gunnar via a golden exclamation point. I go to talk to him and he says thst he is waiting on new." What do I do now? It seems as though there are no obvious prompts and the quest still exists. I need help specifically with advancing this quest...I can't believe I am stuck this early in the game. If anyone has any advice, I'm really desperate. Can't get lords to join kingdom

When I pass a persuasion check with any lord to convince them to join my kingdom and get the chance to barter with them the "offer" option is greyed out. The bar that is usually green in the left corner of the offering box is red. No matter what I give them it doesn't change, I offered them 2 million denars, my entire inventory, and all 5 of my fiefs, the option was still greyed out.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
